Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea Fight for Young German Goalkeeper for Summer 2024

Manchester United will fight with Arsenal and Chelsea in the 2024 summer transfer market. The trio of Premier League giant clubs are ready to compete for the signature of Ajax's young goalkeeper from Germany, Diant Ramaj.

According to a Metro report, Ramaj actually only joined the Dutch club last summer. He was recruited from Eintracht Frankfurt via a long-term contract that runs until 2028.

The 22 year old footballer also appeared promising with Ajax, despite his team's less than strong performance this season. Ramaj has only conceded 26 goals in a total of 17 Eredivisie matches with the Dutch giants.

This achievement has undoubtedly made a number of giant clubs interested in recruiting Diant Ramaj to their respective headquarters.

A report by Christian Falk from Sport Bild claims that there are at least 3 Peremier League clubs who are ready to compete for the German goalkeeper's signature, namely Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

In fact, these three teams just recruited new goalkeepers last summer. The Gunners brought David Raya to the Emirates, the Red Devils brought Andre Onana to Old Trafford, while Chelsea secured the signature of Robert Sanchez.

Manchester United Could Lose the Competition

For the Red Devils, plans to recruit Diant Ramaj could be almost impossible to realize this summer. Metro suggests that the Red Devils may lose their competition because they already spent a lot of money to recruit Andre Onana for 47 pounds sterling from Inter Milan last summer.

The same thing also applies to Chelsea. Mauricio Pochettino's club already has Djordje Petrovic, who performed well when he replaced Sanchez during his injury.

As a result, Arsenal is the club with the most potential to secure Ramaj's signature in the 2024 summer transfer market. The 22-year-old player could be Raya's backup goalkeeper, considering that Aaron Ramsdale has the potential to leave after being surprisingly evicted from Mikel Arteta's starting XI.

MU also lost to Arsenal in the hunt for other players

If they fail to get Ramaj's signature, this could potentially be the umpteenth time Manchester United will be overtaken by Arsenal in the hunt for a target player.

Previous reports revealed that Erik ten Hag's club may also lose out to Arsenal when chasing Pedro Netro's signature from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

It is claimed that the 23 year old player would rather move to North London than join MU at Old Trafford. As a result, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are the clubs most likely to be chosen by Neto next season.
