Spanish League: Barcelona is said to want to make Duo Joao's status permanent
Barcelona took smart steps in the 2023 summer transfer market. The Blaugrana brought in several new players at fairly cheap prices.

In fact, Barcelona was able to get the signatures of the Portuguese star duo, Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix, without spending a transfer fee. The two players were recruited on loan.

Joao Cancelo was borrowed by Barcelona from Manchester City. Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid loaned Joao Felix to the Blaugrana.

Jorge Mendes as the agent of the two players stated that Barcelona was interested in making Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo's status permanent.

"Barcelona wants to keep Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo, they want to make these two players permanent," said the agent, Jorge Mendes, to Record.

Irrelevant Criticism

Joao Cancelo's performance at Barcelona has received praise several times. The former Juventus player is said to provide strength in the right line of defense.

Joao Felix's performance often receives criticism. The former Benfica player is said to be still far from expectations.

However, Jorge Mendes does not agree with the criticism that befell Joao Felix. Player number 14 is said to be on fire.

"Criticism about Felix? His performance is good at the moment," emphasized Mendes.
