Arteta himself admitted that he is optimistic that Odegaard will not be absent from his team for too long.
He said that the midfielder has a positive mentality and that will help him recover faster from injury.
"He is always super positive with whatever happens. Martin wants to be in this team every day, so we will see what happens later," added the coach.
Absent from Derby
With this injury, Odegaard is certain to be absent from the North London Derby this weekend.
Instead, Arteta has the potential to play Jorginho as a starter to accompany Thomas Partey in his midfield.
